My birthday crawls in, and I got news on Adam Lambert's new single "For Your Entertainment" from his debut album with the same title.

So I thought, this would be like an epic birthday present! So I listened to it.... and...

my first impression is; I'm disappointed D:

At first, the moment I heard the beat in the intro, I knew that I would dislike it. I hate the beat. So I waited until Adam's vocal comes in, but what do I get? BRITNEY SPEARS!
Heck, even Pussycat Dolls can pull off better songs.

I'm in love with Adam, but it's a shame that he's given just another song about sex that does not even portray his talent. He has a goddamn voice, equally challenging to Matthew Bellamy of Muse, but he didn't get to use his pitch in his very first single. And his vocals are goddamn good enough to sing songs that actually have real meanings, but they gave him this??

I'm sorry. Mainstream lovers will sure love this no matter what. Everyone says they're liking it even more the more they replayed it. But I'm a picky music listener. I'm not easily pleased. So I'm hoping that his other songs in his debut album is better than this one. Or maybe I should listen the second time... anyways, I have high hopes on the one Muse wrote entitled "Soaked" (Muse is my muse, indeed). And I also look forward to hearing the four songs he wrote himself.

....but then... is it just me or do we sense some... uh... 'gayness' in the lyrics... "I'ma work it till you're totally blown", "Do you like what you see? Let me entertain you until you scream"....
